EQUIPMENT
(In progress)
* Caution spending your resources in expensive gears, as in Spring the mod 16 will be released with a level raise cap to level 80. This might drastically change the current equipments and release stronger gears leaving your current outdated.
There are two type of equipment items: Magical items and Artifacts. The magical gear will have a certain quality that cannot be altered (as standard, rare, epic or even legendary), but the Artifacts, often found as standard quality, can be refined (upgraded) towards legendary (equipment artifacts) or mythic (primary and Secondary Artifacts) qualities!

A frequent mistake on youngsters is to destroy or ignore their main hand and offhand artifacts and use instead a magical item apparently better, just because they had no idea they could refine the artifacts towards improved and more powerful versions.
Equipment during your leveling:
During your leveling time towards maxed level, don't spend resources to acquire new gears that you will be son replacing and so, wasting your precious resources.
You are going to get a continual replace of gears through your adventure's rewards at dungeons, skirmishes and loot from the defeated foes.
Equipment once landing maxed level:
Once you land on level 70 you can accede to a free complete set for around 8,500 total IL:
The Vistani Set (check here to learn how to get it)
This one will be a good point of departure to start your adventures in the new and dangerous unlocked areas, and to progress faster through Elemental Evil, Sharandar and other recommended areas for your debut as level 70.
Although, you are son going to want to replace and update your equipment with stronger gear. Here your options:
Primal Set: Armor, weapons and rings.
(500 IL, the weapon and armor pieces can be upgraded to 535)
Through the Seals of Brave, earned in Random Queues and certain Heroic Encounters, Dungeons and Skirmishes, you can acquire the Primal Set.
This will be just require some time, but you will easily get all the pieces you wanted.
Advised to go for Rings and weapons as some that will last for long time. (Although the Vistani main and off hand items have the same IL tan Primal main and offhand, the Primal pieces have better bonuses)
Barovian Hunts: Armor.
(520 & 540 IL)
The hunts in Ravenloft drop armor pieces (head, chest, arms and feet) that can provide some BIS items and easily long time standing gear.
Chult (Omu): Rings.
(510 IL)
The Omuan maps acquired from Patrols for Omu can provide (with a low drop chance) a legendary version of the Gravestriker Ring, as some others, than are BIS. The Omu patrols can be done once unlocked Omu in the Chult campaign and the patrols can be done with help of some stronger fellows (they are going to need to do them as well, so shouldn't be hard to find a helper)
Gallant Set: Armor.
(600 IL)
The Gallant armor was introduced with the Acquisitions Incorporated (AI) campaign, and can be acquired from the K-team weekly dungeons given by Omin Dran. These dungeons must be do in epic hardcore mode, where a single party member dying will ruin the attempt, forcing it to be repeated until its completion without a single casualty. With a strong party, can be done as long as you kept yourself alive and able to contribute to the team success.
After success in a K-team, you will earn a token. Get 3 or 4 for each Gallant armor piece.
Auction House / Master crafted Gear.
(Variable IL)
There are high tier items that can be crafted by players. You will be able to find them in the Auction house. While the BIS items will reach expensive amounts of AD to buy, there will also be "secondary" items that happen to be good enough like to worth purchase them.
Master crafted Weapons: (510 to 570 IL)
Expensive, but BIS. Bronzewood, Titansteel... Check them in AH. The +1 versions (570 IL in legendary rank) will be really expensive. You can buy the standard (560 IL in legendary Rank) than will still being expensive, but not as high.
Master crafted Rings: (560 IL)
Beaded Ring and other epic rings are easily long time lasting items to acquire, unless you were successful with the Omuan and Chult Rings.
Master crafted: Shirt and Pants. (510 IL)
Very recommended as easily improve those you might get with more effort from the Chult and Omu campaign. And they are usually in sale in the AH by a cheap amount. Acquire the +1 versions as will be stronger.
Master crafted: Armor. (510 IL)
If you want a fast improvement, and you couldn't get support for the Barovian hunts, you can temporally do with helmets, chests, arms and greaves master crafted, of rare quality, that will reach 510 IL with decent skills and cheap Price in the AH. But for most of those pieces, be advised that are not BIS and you will want to replace them sooner or later.
Artifact Sets: Neck, belt and artifact.
(Varied IL)
Depending your class, you will want to get one or other set, and here the trick: Some of the best sets for your chosen class, may have a low IL compared to other sets that will have worse skill bonus.
As a sample, the best set advised for the DPS classes, is the Demonic one (Demogorgon Girdle, Baphomet Trinket and Orcus Shard), which provides up to a 20% of increased damage against bosses. A bonus hardly equaled by none other newly set.
Ask to veterans in your Guild and Alliance, that were sharing class with you, to seek out your BIS artifact set.
